As a part time, nonexempt Staff Pharmacist you’ll play a vital role in delivering safe, accurate, and efficient pharmacy services. This is a hands-on opportunity to make a direct impact by ensuring the accuracy of medication orders, verifying technician-prepared products, and safeguarding controlled substances. You’ll contribute to a high-performing team by mentoring new staff, maintaining seamless daily operations, and supporting the Director in optimizing pharmacy performance. This position will be located within Cedar Springs Hospital in Colorado Springs, CO.

Requirements

  • PharmD or BS Pharmacy degree with equivalent and acceptable experience from a College of Pharmacy accredited by American Association of Colleges of Pharmacy (AACP)
  • Licensure in good standing as a Registered Pharmacist in the state of Colorado

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate physician medication orders for clinical appropriateness based on patient condition, organ function, disease state, and concurrent therapies
  • Gather and interpret key patient information, including allergies, renal/hepatic function, medication history, and other data relevant to safe and effective drug therapy
  • Accurately process and verify physician drug orders in accordance with regulatory and organizational standards
  • Collaborate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to provide medication‑related guidance and clinical recommendations
