About The Position

Are you someone who takes pride in creating clean, welcoming spaces for others? As a Part-Time Porter, you’ll be essential to the daily upkeep and appearance of our 119-unit community. Under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you’ll ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of the building’s common areas, contributing to a safe, well-maintained, and inviting environment for all residents and visitors. In this role, you’ll play a vital part in the resident experience by maintaining high standards of cleanliness and hygiene across all shared spaces. Requirements

  • 1–2 years of janitorial, cleaning, or porter experience in residential or commercial settings.
  • Must be willing to work 32 hours per week Monday-Friday.
  • Comfortable working with and around cleaning agents and equipment.
  • Ability to complete daily assignments with minimal supervision.
  • Strong time management skills and attention to detail.
  • Reliable transportation required.
  • Dedicated to exceeding expectations by providing exceptional service.
  • Willingness to embrace feedback and continuously improve.
  • Strong belief in the value of teamwork and collaboration.
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs.
  • Personal standards of appearance and dress compatible with the Company’s standards.

Nice To Haves

  • Basic knowledge of light maintenance tasks is a plus.
  • Snow removal and landscaping experience a plus.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Complete requests in a timely manner and interact with residents to ensure their needs are met.
  • Clean and maintain all common areas, including front lobby, hallways, restrooms, elevators, stairways, and parking areas.
  • Maintain floors, vacuum carpets and rugs, wash and wax hard surfaces, and clean tile grout.
  • Wash walls, doors, and windows in shared areas.
  • Replace light bulbs in common area lighting fixtures as needed.
  • Ensure all trash receptacles are emptied and waste is transported to the designated disposal area.
  • Monitor and restock sanitary and cleaning supplies to maintain proper inventory levels.
  • Assist with light maintenance duties such as replacing air filters, minor touch-ups, and basic repairs.
  • Support seasonal upkeep tasks, including snow removal and grounds maintenance.
  • Assist in inventory control of janitorial tools, equipment, and supplies.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and represent the community with a positive and courteous attitude.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
