Summary: The Receptionist plays a key role in creating a positive customer experience by greeting visitors, managing incoming calls, and directing inquiries with courtesy and efficiency. This position supports staff with routine administrative and clerical duties and helps maintain an organized, customer‑ready lobby environment. The ideal candidate is personable, dependable, and committed to delivering exceptional service in a community‑bank setting. The Commercial Loan Assistant provides essential support to the commercial lending team by assisting with loan documentation, gathering financial information, and ensuring loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant. This role coordinates with borrowers, lenders, and internal departments to facilitate smooth loan processing from application to closing. Responsibilities include organizing credit files, preparing routine loan forms, tracking required documentation, and helping maintain up‑to-date financial records for commercial customers. The ideal candidate is detail‑oriented, customer‑focused, and able to provide professional, relationship‑based service consistent with a community bank’s standards.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • A minimum of one year of Receptionist/Assistant experience
  • Able to multitask and prioritize in a limited amount of time.
  • Ability to organize and prioritize to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent organization and communication skills with high attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills (both verbal and written) with sound judgment and decision making abilities
  • Strong customer-service skills.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office applications
  • Ability to read and comprehend training materials, financial institution communications and related loan manuals.

Nice To Haves

  • Lending experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Performs regular support duties including telephone support, screening visitors and calls, and scheduling meetings and appointments.
  • Good understanding of financial institution products and services.
  • Requests and obtains financial statements on existing borrowers.
  • Uses office computers for data input and other activities.
  • Assists lenders with calls on past-due loans.
  • Updates collateral values, as needed on delinquent loans.
  • Including preparing Watch List and Problem Loan Reports.
  • Follows all applicable laws and regulations.
  • Assists lenders with commercial and consumer loan products.
  • Provides technical advice and assistance to loan officers as needed.
  • Participates in local business and community activities
  • Understand your role as defined by the three lines of defense to maintain a compliance culture that includes risk management processes
  • Clearing Loan Exceptions
  • Collect Insurance information on new and existing loans
  • Orders office supplies
  • Scan documents and organize files
  • Other duties as assigned
