About The Position

The Department of Mechanical Engineering is seeking a Research Scholar under the supervision of Dr. Tahira Reid Smith. The research scholar will work to support members of the REID Lab with making progress on various research projects including helping to train them in the use of the NIRSIT fNIRS system. The scholar will also provide insights on experiment designs and analysis, and write publications

Requirements

• Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering with a background in human factors and applications of social sciences to engineering problems
• Experience with NIRSIT fNIRS system

Responsibilities

• Support members of the REID Lab with making progress on various research projects
• Help train lab members in the use of the NIRSIT fNIRS system
• Provide insights on experiment designs and analysis
• Write publications
