About The Position

The Restaurant & Bar Supervisor oversees the daily operations of the clubhouse restaurant and bar at the clubhouse. This role ensures exceptional service standards, smooth shift operations, staff supervision, and a high-quality dining experience for members, guests, and event attendees. The supervisor plays a key role in maintaining hospitality excellence while supporting revenue growth and operational efficiency.

Requirements

  • 2+ years lead or supervisory experience and/or training in comparable food service operations. Golf course operations preferred.

  • The ability to read, write and speak English fluently is required to read, analyze, and interpret regulations. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from group of managers, clients, customers, and the general publicComputer knowledge including Word, Excel, Outlook, and POS system(s)Ability to perform essential functions on the computerized Point of Sale system.
  • Working knowledge and ability to mix and serve a wide variety of drinks.
  • Working knowledge of the proper operation of all bar equipment.
  • Working knowledge of standard cash handling procedures.
  • Must be flexible and able to perform multiple tasks and work in stressful situationsWorking knowledge of applicable liquor laws and regulations.
  • Necessary State Food Handler’s License and Class 12 Liquor Serving PermitMust have a flexible schedule and be able to work A.M. or P.M. shifts including weekends & holidays.
  • Must be able to work a minimum of 25 hours per week during peak season (April through October) within the department with exception of approved time off.
  • This Part-Time position is a year-round position. Due to seasonality of business volume, hours will peak during the busy season (April through October). The slower season (November through February), hours will fluctuate pending business volume.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods of time
  • Ability to lift up to 40lbs
  • Comfortable working outdoors in varying weather conditions

Responsibilities

  • Assists in interviewing/hiring of all new restaurant/bar team members
  • Supervises personnel employed in the Restaurant/Bar Department. This includes scheduling, training, motivating team members daily
  • Monitors daily sales & item sales to track trends
  • Create effective specials, packages, and features that keep the guests engaged
  • Conduct shift briefings (pre-shift) and delegate responsibilities
  • Monitor food and beverage quality, presentation, and service standards
  • Communicate to team members specials, tournaments/events, changes in standard SOP’s
  • Supervises daily operations of the restaurant/bar areas including set-up, stocking, and breakdown, and overall cleanliness of all service/prep areas.
  • Ensures profitability, efficient operations and adherence to established safety and quality standards daily
  • Reports ordering needs to F&B Director and Executive Chef to include food & beverage products, operating supplies, and cleaning supplies
  • Inventories supplies and beverages and maintains accurate inventory records monthly
  • Responsible for recording breakage, waste, spills within department and reporting to F&B Director
  • Responds to internal and external inquiries and complaints and maintains favorable team member and guest relations as needed
  • Administers state liquor laws as they pertain to operations daily
  • Deals with guests’ challenges and communicates all issues with F&B Director and Executive Chef
  • Assures that we exceed guest expectations by being responsive, engaged and following-through on all requests
  • Represents organization as point of contact ensuring guests’ needs are met and expectations exceeded
  • Provides ongoing coaching and praising to team members to ensure high-quality guest service. Addresses team members concerns and enforces company policies.
  • Ensures a safe work environment, reporting unsafe conditions and equipment that need repair immediately and that the work area is clean and orderly
