About The Position

Indiana Masonic Home Compass Park is looking to add to our Security Team. Compass Park is a vast 320-acre community in the heart of Johnson County adjacent to Indianapolis. It is a vibrant community through all seasons and a place of beauty, rich in tall trees and winding footpaths. This job is in Franklin, IN.

Requirements

Experience as a security guard, police officer or military police officer preferred
High school diploma or GED preferred
Must be 21 years of age or older required
Must have a valid driver's license
Must display exceptional customer service and communication skills
Intermediate computer skills and experience with security camera usage

Responsibilities

Patrol on foot, golf cart, or security car the interior and exterior areas of assigned locations to ensure personnel, building, and equipment are secure.
Observe and report suspicious activities and persons.
Write detailed narrative reports and maintain daily activity reports.
Enforce rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and respond to emergency situations requiring security assistance.
Must possess effective written and oral communication and interpersonal skills with ability to deal with all levels of personnel and the general public in a professional and effective manner.
Must be able to use initiative and independent judgment within established guidelines.
Must be able to frequently prepare written reports on the computer.
Examines doors, windows, and gates to ensure security; uses client keys to open and close buildings; monitors closed buildings for unauthorized persons and/or suspicious activities.
Watches for irregularities, such as security beaches, facility and safety hazards, and emergency situations; contacts emergency responders, such as police, fire, and/or ambulance personnel, and the CEO as required.
Responsible for assisting with development and implementation of physical security and safety programs.
