About The Position

The Parts and Yard Manager serves as the central point of control for yard operations, equipment movement, and parts management across Baranko Companies. This role is responsible for coordinating all equipment entering and leaving the yard, maintaining accurate tracking and documentation, and ensuring proper organization, accountability, and security of company property. In addition to overseeing yard logistics, this position manages parts procurement, inventory systems, and delivery of parts to technicians and job sites. The Parts and Yard Manager plays a critical role in supporting maintenance operations, minimizing downtime, and maintaining a clean, organized, and efficient yard and shop environment

Requirements

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • 3 years of experience in heavy equipment parts, yard management, or construction operations preferred.
  • Strong computer proficiency including Outlook, Excel, and equipment management systems.
  • Experience managing inventory systems preferred.
  • Clean driving record required.
  • Valid Class A Commercial Driver's License (CDL)
  • Must pass a pre-employment drug test and comply with company policies.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • This position requires schedule flexibility and the ability to work extended hours during peak construction and maintenance seasons.

Nice To Haves

  • 3 years of experience in heavy equipment parts, yard management, or construction operations preferred.
  • Experience managing inventory systems preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as the primary yard contact for all company equipment and property entering or leaving the yard.
  • Coordinate and enforce equipment check-in and check-out procedures.
  • Maintain accurate unit tracking and field-ready vs. repair status logs.
  • Ensure proper documentation in HCSS Safety and HCSS E360 systems.
  • Procure, receive, organize, and distribute parts for maintenance operations.
  • Deliver parts to regional jobsites as necessary to minimize downtime.
  • Assist with development and maintaining an organized parts inventory system.
  • Maintain shop and yard cleanliness and organization.
  • Label and organize small equipment and tools for accountability.
  • Communicate effectively with leadership and maintenance personnel.
