Position Overview The Parts Counter Representative is responsible for assisting customers with parts orders, supporting warehouse operations, and ensuring accurate and timely order fulfillment.

Requirements

  • Ability to operate a forklift (or willingness to complete certification training)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Excel and Word)
  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to maintain a clean, organized workspace
  • Commitment to staying current on product knowledge and updates
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with management and team members
  • Frequent walking, including on uneven terrain
  • Regular lifting up to 60 lbs.
  • Standing for extended periods
  • Bending, reaching, kneeling, and climbing ladders
  • Getting in and out of equipment
  • Reading work orders, parts manuals, and computer screens
  • Communicating via phone, radio, and in person

Responsibilities

  • Process phone and walk-in parts orders
  • Accurately identify customer needs and required parts
  • Research parts specifications and availability
  • Enter orders into the system with precision
  • Pull parts for counter customers
  • Place backorders with vendors as needed
  • Prepare accurate and complete purchase orders
  • Stock incoming inventory
  • Pull parts for the service department
  • Perform cycle inventory counts
  • Assist the Parts Manager as required
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation and warehouse area
  • Assist with inventory preparation
  • Perform clerical tasks (filing, answering phones, etc.)
  • Support team operations as needed
