About The Position

We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Parts Counter Sales Representative. The role will be responsible for the efficient handling and control of customers’ needs for construction supplies, parts, and equipment including proper inventory, record keeping, delivery, reporting, and rentals as well as other duties as specified by the Parts Manager. Requirements

  • One year of college or technical school, or two years of related experience or training, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as financial statements, safety rules, operating and maintenance instruction and procedures manuals; write routine reports and correspondence; speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions percentages, area, circumference and volume; apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation.
  • Lift and/or move 25lbs; occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 lbs utilizing safe methods with equipment or assistance; occasionally subject to outside weather conditions or elements; noise levels are standard business environment.

Responsibilities

  • Respond to all incoming counter and phone sales and product inquiries, emphasizing salable features, quoting prices, and preparing sales and rental orders; assists customers solving problems
  • System generate sales orders as received and expedite for delivery, pick up, or will call
  • Assist in stocking showroom as well as maintain general appearance of showroom and counter/office area; review open order status monthly
  • Identify correct part numbers, completes order forms; recommend related items at the point of sale
  • Maintain safety and security to company policy and standards
  • All other duties as assigned
