About The Position

Mission Yogurt Inc. is seeking a Pasty Chef to join our team at The Bindery located inside the Denver Airport! At The Bindery, we strive to balance our modern lives by providing artisanal foods, handcrafted and nurtured with great care. The Pastry Chef is responsible for preparing high-quality desserts and baked goods, ensuring consistency in recipes, and supporting daily kitchen operations while working efficiently in a fast-paced environment. This role also maintains the cleanliness and organization of the pastry station and adheres to all food safety and sanitation standards.

Requirements

• Candidates who possess at least two years of pastry baking experience.
• Delivery of superior food and beverage service and maximizes customer satisfaction.

• Ensures safety and security of both guests and team members.
• Must be able to pass a 10-year background check per TSA guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Supports management in overseeing kitchen staff, including prep cooks and pastry team members.
• Monitors the quality and consistency of pastry products served.
• Collaborates with other kitchen staff to maintain a cohesive culinary team.
• Manage inventory and order supplies as needed.
• Prepare and bake a variety of pastries, desserts, breads, and other baked goods.
• Help train new kitchen staff on kitchen procedures, equipment, food safety practices, and customer service expectations.
• Provide ongoing coaching and support to team members to ensure skills are continually developed.
• Ensure that staff follow recipes and maintain consistent food quality.
• Troubleshoot problems as they arise, including issues with equipment, food shortages, or customer complaints.
• Monitor food preparation and presentation to ensure dishes meet the restaurant’s standards for quality and consistency.
• Contributes to a positive work environment through enthusiasm, dedication, and responsiveness.
