About The Position

The Pastry Chef is responsible for leading the pastry team in the creation of high-quality desserts and baked goods, utilizing classical techniques and innovative approaches. This role ensures that all pastry items are consistently executed to meet elevated standards of taste, presentation, and food safety. The Pastry Chef oversees daily operations within the pastry kitchen, manages production schedules, and fosters a collaborative, efficient, and professional work environment. This position reports directly to the Executive Chef and works closely with the broader culinary leadership team to support overall kitchen operations and guest satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in a pastry culinary leadership position within a high-volume, fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to adapt to guest preferences, dietary needs, and emerging food trends.
  • Advanced knowledge of pastry techniques, food safety regulations, and commercial bakery equipment.
  • Strong plating and presentation skills suitable for upscale dining and event catering.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
  • ServSafe or equivalent food safety certification required.
  • Able to work effectively and safely while subject to wet floors, temperature extremes and excessive noise; must be able to lift up to 50 pounds in weight; must be able to maneuver in an often tightly-quartered environment.
  • Hours may be extended or irregular to include nights, weekends and holidays.
