The beautiful Signia by Hilton La Cantera Resort and Spa is looking for a Pastry Cook to join their talented pastry team! Overlooking the rolling hills and majestic live oaks of the Hill Country, our tranquil resort offers over 140,000 sq. ft. of elegant event spaces, a luxury spa, multiple outdoor swimming pools, kid’s camp, and an 18-hole golf course. This individual brings a minimum of one year of hands-on pastry experience or a degree in pastry arts, along with a solid understanding of fundamental pastry skills and production techniques. They thrive in a fast-paced, high-volume resort environment supporting dessert and pastry production across all dining outlets on the property, including SweetFire Kitchen, Primero Cantina, Grille 254, and Banquets. They will have a flexible schedule, demonstrating reliability and consistency while working collaboratively with the broader culinary team.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare, bake, and finish pastries and desserts following established recipes, portion standards, and presentation guidelines.
  • Support high‑volume production for banquets, special events, and restaurant service.
  • Organize and maintain pastry stations, ensuring ingredients and tools are properly stocked and stored.
  • Assist with prep tasks, including scaling ingredients, mixing doughs and batters, preparing fillings, sauces, and garnishes.
  • Collaborate with the Pastry Chef and culinary team to meet production timelines and service needs.
  • Stock, maintain and ensure proper storage and refrigeration of an adequate supply of all prepared product.
  • Maintain cleanliness and comply with food sanitation standards.
  • Practice correct food handling and food storage procedures according to federal, state, local and company regulations.
