About The Position

801 Local is hiring for a Pastry Cook position!

This is a part-time position working in a team-oriented, high-volume, fast-paced, guest-centric environment with the highest of quality food. This position is expected to work between 2-4 shifts per week, depending on business needs.

Requirements

• At least 1 year experience, preferably more, in pastry production in upscale dining.
• Basic knowledge of molecular gastronomy
• Cake making & decorating
• Petit fours/Mignardises
• Gluten-free
• Ice cream/sorbet
• Bread making
• Ability to effectively communicate with kitchen and front of house team in loud environment
• Must be available any day of the week, including nights, weekends & some holidays
• Must maintain regular, predictable and reliable attendance
• Physical ability to work on your feet, alertly, for extended periods of time
• Continuous use of hands and arms; continuous bending, reaching & twisting
• Physical ability to frequently lift 20-30 lbs, and occasionally up to 50lbs
• Physical ability to squat, kneel, and climb
