About the position

We’re looking for a skilled and passionate Pastry Cook with a strong foundation in both pastry and cake preparation to join our growing team. This role is perfect for someone who finds joy in baking, has an eye for detail, and takes pride in producing consistently high-quality goods—from delicate pastries to beautifully finished cakes. As part of our pastry team, you'll be responsible for preparing a wide range of baked goods, contributing to recipe development, and helping maintain an efficient and creative kitchen environment.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a wide assortment of pastries, cakes, tarts, cookies, and other baked goods.
  • Decorate and finish cakes and pastries with precision and creativity using various techniques including piping, glazing, and fondant work.
  • Assist in developing new menu items and seasonal offerings that reflect current trends and customer preferences.
  • Follow standardized recipes and procedures while ensuring consistency and quality in every product.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant work station in accordance with food safety and sanitation guidelines.
  • Collaborate closely with the pastry team to fulfill daily production needs and special orders.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and communicate needs to the Executive Pastry Chef.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of professional baking and pastry experience in a commercial kitchen or bakery.
  • Proficient in both traditional pastry techniques and modern cake decorating.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment.
  • Creative mindset with a passion for flavor, texture, and presentation.
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
  • Culinary or pastry arts degree/certificate is a plus, but not required with relevant experience.
