About The Position

A global law firm with a strong and growing IP practice is seeking a Patent Agent with 2+ years of patent prosecution experience to support sophisticated technology clients. This role offers hands -on responsibility, direct client interaction, and long -term growth within a collaborative IP team. This position is in Chicago but other locations throughout the U.S. are options.

Requirements

• B.S. in Electrical Engineering or a closely related field
• 2+ years of patent prosecution experience
• Registered with the USPTO (or eligible to register)
• Strong academic credentials

Responsibilities

• Draft and prosecute U.S. and international patent applications
• Evaluate invention disclosures and assess patentability
• Draft claims and respond to USPTO Office Actions
• Conduct Examiner interviews
• Work directly with inventors and attorneys
• Assist with patent portfolio strategy and management
