About The Position

The primary function of this role is to efficiently and professionally register patients who present for outpatient testing, emergency treatment, or admission to the healthcare facility. This involves greeting patients in a courteous manner, gathering and verifying essential demographic information (such as name, date of birth, address, insurance details, etc.), and ensuring that all relevant billing information is accurately recorded. The individual will be responsible for entering this information into the electronic health records (EHR) or registration system with a high degree of accuracy, ensuring compliance with privacy regulations (such as HIPAA) and the healthcare facility's protocols. Additionally, the role may require providing patients with necessary forms, explaining registration procedures, and addressing any initial questions or concerns in a compassionate and professional manner. The position plays a crucial part in ensuring smooth patient flow, maintaining accurate records, and facilitating timely and efficient patient care.

Requirements

• High school graduate, GED or 3 years relevant experience
• One or more years' experience of customer service experience
