About The Position

Supports the credit balance team in resolving complex issues on patient accounts. Essential Functions As a Lead Credit Balance Representative, you will be the Subject Matter Expert for the following: Researches, validates and approves adjustments and refunds Provides training and coaching to credit balance team while maintaining confidentiality Confidential presentation of individual credit balance team’s Quality Assurance (QA) audits Timely coordination and resolution of compliance, third-party and audit refund projects Assist Credit Balance Leadership in creating and updating department workflows Coordination with other departments and Credit Balance Clerical team to ensure checks are printed and processed in a timely manner Partner with finance departments to research and complete reconciliation

  • Two (2)+ years of experience in hospital or physician back-end insurance related activities (Billing & Follow-Up) required
  • Knowledge of Medicaid and Medicare billing regulations required
  • Operate computers and other office equipment requiring the ability to move fingers and hands
  • See and read computer monitors and documents
  • Remain sitting or standing for long periods of time
  • May require lifting and transporting objects, office supplies, and equipment
  • Bending, Kneeling, and Reaching

  • Epic systems experience preferred
  • Lead experience preferred
