About The Position

Vancouver Clinic is hiring Patient Account Representative to join Patient Financial Services. In this call-center environment, you’ll be the first point of contact for patients with billing questions, helping to resolve account issues and ensuring a positive experience. Must have excellent attendance! Consistent, dependable, and predictable attendance is crucial in helping us fulfill our mission of providing high-quality, compassionate care. We require our employees to adhere to our attendance standards, as frequent deviations make it difficult to provide care for our patients and support our coworkers.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of one year of experience in health care accounting within a medical office required.
• Customer service experience required, preferably in a healthcare or call-center setting.
• The ability to work, with or without reasonable accommodation, with a diverse population of patients and colleagues seeking or considering care in all areas, is an essential function of all positions at the Clinic.

Responsibilities

• Answer patient billing inquiries with accuracy and empathy
• Review accounts for refunds, financial assistance, and payment plan options
• Respond to collection agency correspondence and process adjustments
• Identify billing errors and initiate corrections
