As a Patient Care Coordinator, you are often the first point of contact for our patients—setting the tone for a welcoming, smooth visit.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to actively listen, communicate clearly, and provide empathetic service
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and comfortable multitasking

Nice To Haves

  • Customer service experience
  • 1–2 years of experience in a business office or clinical/medical setting
  • EMR experience (Athenahealth practice management system preferred)
  • Current BLS card
  • Some college (medical, business, or accounting focus)

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients in person and by phone in a friendly, professional manner
  • Register new patients and verify/update demographics for existing patients
  • Complete pre-visit planning, including: Collecting updated insurance information Performing insurance verification Updating patient records accurately
  • Collect copays and payments as needed
  • Answer inbound calls to schedule appointments and route questions appropriately
  • Serve as a liaison between patients and clinical staff
  • Make outbound calls to schedule appointments and support clinic needs
  • Maintain a clean, organized front office and complete daily administrative tasks
  • Maintain confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines
  • Meet or exceed established service standards
  • Work well independently and collaboratively as part of the clinic team
  • Maintain punctual, reliable attendance (essential for this role)
