About The Position

As our PCC, you aren’t just answering phones you are the heartbeat of our daily operations, ensuring every patient feels welcomed, supported, and cared for from the moment they walk through our doors. Schedule & Availability Full-Time: Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM. Weekend Variety: Occasional Saturday shifts from 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Two (2) years of customer service required.
  • Basic money handling/management, and office equipment experience.
  • Computer proficiency in Microsoft Suites, 10-Key, and keyboarding at more than 40 wpm.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills including effective verbal and written communication.
  • Excellent organization skills and the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Must be able to successfully pass criminal background investigation.
  • Effective time management, decision-making, and problem solving skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Associates Degree preferred.
  • One (1) year of reception experience in a clinic setting preferred.
  • Washington State Medical Assistant Certification eligibility for level A. C. E. preferred.
  • Knowledge of medical terminology and medical billing processes preferred.
  • American Indian/Alaska Native preferences apply.

Responsibilities

  • Quickly and accurately route and manage incoming calls from multi-line phones including the composure and routing of messages.
  • Greet patients and visitors in a timely, professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
  • Check patients in for their appointments quickly and accurately.
  • Collect, verify, and input patient demographic data and insurance information.
  • Schedule patient appointments in the correct format for 25+ providers.
  • Scan insurance cards into the electronic health record.
  • Assist patients with general tasks (completing paperwork, forms, calling a taxi, etc.).
  • Accurately collect and post patient co-payments.
  • Participate in clinic meetings.
  • Adhere to all JST policies and procedures, including but not limited to standards for safety, and work practices as described in the Occupational Exposure Control Plan and HIPAA.
  • Other duties as assigned.
