Step into the role of Patient Care Director - Medical / Surgical Unit at NewYork-Presbyterian/Lower Manhattan Hospital, where we’re bringing world-class resources to local care, for the 600,000 New Yorkers who live and work south of 14th Street. Be responsible for directing the daily operations of this 40-bed unit to ensure the delivery of high-quality and compassionate patient care to an increasingly diverse patient population. Engage, mentor, supervise and evaluate a highly collaborative team, and inspire their continued professional growth. Develop and manage budgets and identify process improvement to enhance the patient experience. Excel as a change agent, advancing initiatives focused on enhancing quality and performance throughout the unit.

Requirements

  • Master’s Degree
  • Current NYS RN licensure (or willingness to obtain NYS licensure)
  • At least 5 years of acute care experience, supported by 2 years of progressive leadership experience
  • Exceptional emotional intelligence, communication, interpersonal, and team-building skills are essential to success
  • All roles require on-site presence (variable by role). Therefore, all employees should live within a commutable distance to NYP.
  • NYP will not reimburse for travel expenses.
