The G91 Pulmonary/Integrated Care Unit at Cleveland Clinic Main Campus services higher acuity pulmonary step-down patients. As a PCNA on this team, you will assist fellow caregivers with bedside attention, including performing oral care, monitoring fluid intake, collecting specimens and checking blood sugar. You will also fulfill interdepartmental patient transfers and discharges as needed. Not only does this position offer an excellent way to enhance your nursing skills but also make a lasting difference in the lives of patients and their families every day. A caregiver in this position works nights, from 7:00pm—7:30am. A caregiver who excels in this role will: Provide or assist with patient care under the supervision of an RN, such as taking vital signs and weight, assisting patients with personal care, point of care testing, dressing changes, applying external monitoring devices and removing urinary Foley Catheters. Report abnormal findings or changes in physical, mental and emotional conditions to an RN. Assist with keeping patients’ rooms clean and orderly.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Certification through the American Heart Association (AHA) or American Red Cross upon or within new hire period.
  • Nursing students are required to have their BLS Certification prior to hire
  • Military experience as a Hospital Corpsman (HM), Combat Medic (68W) or Medical Service Technician (4N0X1) considered
  • Knowledge of basic medical procedures and equipment

Nice To Haves

  • State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA) Certification
