Requirements

High school or GED
BLS through American Heart Association
2+ years of NA, MA or PCT in an ASC/Surgical center setting or 2 + yrs NA, MA or PCT with KSC ASC exp
Computer Knowledge (basic)
Proven to answer incoming calls and triage appropriately
Proven to respond to patient questions and provide information based on scripted responses
Proven to document interaction in the EMR appropriately
Demonstrated clear communication skills

Nice To Haves

Graduate from approved MA/NA program
Certified PCT/MA/NA
Bilingual

Responsibilities

Provide supportive patient care.
Functions under direct supervision of RN in all areas of the ASC (Recovery Room, Preop, Extended Stay, Endoscopy, and OR)
Take the lead role at Patient Care Technician for role modeling / precepting, liaison between materials management and nurses to ensure supplies and equipment are available for patient use
