About The Position

Patient Care Tech at Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Fort Worth:

As the Patient Care Technician, the individual will interface with visitors, patients, family, and physicians on phone and in person for Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital at Fort Worth and Baylor Scott & White Surgical Hospital Outpatient Center. 
Performs clerical duties including distribution of messages.
Performs clinical duties, under the direction of an RN or LVN, including assisting patients to the restroom, removing iv catheters, etc.
Cleans rooms if needed.
Assists RN’s as instructed.
Any other duties as instructed by supervisor.

Requirements

• High School Diploma, or equivalent
• Certified Nurse Assistant Certification, PCT, MA or equivalent
• BLS Required
• Minimum 1-year experience in a hospital setting preferred
• Good communication and people skills
• Excellent clinical skills appropriate for a medical assistant, nursing assistant or patient care tech
• Ability to utilize Electronic Healthcare Record for patient documentation.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience Electronic Healthcare Record helpful
