About The Position

As a Patient Care Technician (PCT) at Chandler Regional Medical Center, you will deliver essential direct patient care under the supervision of our clinical team. Leveraging your knowledge of basic patient care principles and medical terminology, you will perform a range of daily duties. Every day you will actively assist patients with personal care, mobility, and feeding, monitoring vital signs, documenting observations, and maintaining a therapeutic and organized patient environment. You will also work closely with the nursing team to prepare patients for procedures or transport. To be successful in this role requires a genuine passion for patient well-being, diligence in executing tasks, keen observational skills regarding patient conditions, and a proactive approach to continuous learning and professional development. Assists the nurse/physician during examinations, treatments and procedures as requested also assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer. Assists in patient/equipment preparation, and retrieves necessary equipment and supplies. Documents clinically relevant findings in the patient's record according to hospital protocols. Prepares patients for transportation to other departments/areas when STAT or as necessary. Assists with patient admission, discharge and transfer. Assists staff/patient with discharge preparations. Requirements

  • High School GED
  • High School Diploma or equivalent combination of education and experience, upon hire
  • Basic Life Support - CPR, upon hire

Nice To Haves

  • Certified Nursing Assistant, or Emergency Medical Technician Basic, or previous military medic experience, or seeking degree in nursing, or previous healthcare experience
  • Previous experience with a patient care module or personal compute
