About The Position

Patient Care Technician in our Emergency Department at Providence Mission Hospital in Mission Viejo, CA. Positions available are Full-Time and may be either Evening and Night shifts. You will work 12-hour shifts in this role. Schedule options can be discussed during the interview. Under general supervision by the RN, the Patient Care Tech II is responsible for providing basic nursing care for in-patients and out-patients as needed, within their specified area(s) (see below). The Patient Care Tech II is responsible for collecting and reporting of information to the supervising RN and completion of all patient care related documentation. Requirements

  • Completion of a CNA program, Or Completion of first semester nursing program, Or EMT program completion for hires to Emergency Services.
  • Upon hire: California Nursing Assistant Certification License Or California Emergency Medical Technician License
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • Experience with basic data entry.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training and Successful completion of dysrhythmia course or ability to pass rhythm recognition exam test. Or equivalent educ/experience
  • Coursework/Training and EKG Training.
  • 1 year of acute patient care experience, Or 6 months of experience in a direct patient care environment in providing clerical support related to Provider or Patient documentation or charting.
