Patient Care Technician
About The Position
Patient Care Technician is responsible for delivering direct patient care in collaboration with the RN and performing tasks that do not require nursing judgment or medication administration. The incumbent will work under the direction of the Charge Nurse, providing basic patient care, maintaining a safe environment, and supporting patient educational needs. The role involves standing, walking, and lifting as necessary to perform patient care tasks. The ability to bend, stoop, and assist with the mobility of patients is essential. The ideal candidate will contribute to providing high-quality patient care, ensuring a safe and supportive healthcare environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or equivalent (Preferred).
- BLS/CPR (Preferred).
- Nursing Assistant: 1 year (Preferred)
- Careful observation and attention to detail.
- Effective communication skills.
- Customer service attitude.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a healthcare team.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a dynamic healthcare environment.
Responsibilities
- Careful observation and accurate documentation of patient information.
- Basic patient care tasks under the direction of the Charge Nurse.
- Excellent communication skills, routing messages to the appropriate personnel.
- Maintaining a safe and healthy environment for patients in accordance with hospital standards.
- Using a customer service attitude when assisting patients and families with their needs.
- Performing ward clerk and clerical tasks as required.
- Maintaining equipment and performing routine cleaning tasks.
- Assisting RN with patient educational needs.
