About The Position

We’re seeking compassionate and outgoing volunteers to serve as Patient Greeters: the first friendly faces our patients see when they walk through the door. Requirements

  • A friendly and respectful attitude
  • Comfort using tablets, smartphones, or other tech tools
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to stay calm and helpful in a busy environment
  • Reliability and punctuality
  • Comfort interacting with people from diverse backgrounds
  • Completion of HealthPoint’s volunteer application and screening process
  • Depending on your role and location, you may be asked to provide proof of immunizations or a TB test

Nice To Haves

  • Bilingual skills (Spanish) are preferred but not required

Responsibilities

  • Greet patients and visitors with a smile and welcoming attitude
  • Help direct people to check-in stations, waiting areas, or service points
  • Assist patients with forms or using digital check-in tools like iPads
  • Provide general directions and answer non-medical questions
  • Keep an eye on waiting areas to ensure comfort and safety
  • Notify staff if a patient appears to need immediate help
  • Support staff with light, non-clinical tasks to improve the patient experience
