In this role, applicants would be employed through e-Team, the Managed Service Provider for Genentech's Contingent Workforce, to work on a Genentech assignment. Below are details about the assignment and Genentech. Location: Portland (Preferred) or South San Francisco. It is preferred that candidates reside in Portland or within 50 miles of Portland. Work Arrangement: For the first 6 months, the role will be hybrid (3 days a week on site). After that period, depending on performance and business needs, this role may have the opportunity to switch to fully remote. Your Opportunity: The Patient Navigator (PN) will act as a single point of contact to support patients in understanding their treatment journey, address clinical and non-clinical questions, identify and address barriers, provide resource referrals, and coordinate infusion treatment logistics on behalf of the patient. The PN provides comprehensive and coordinated assistance to patients, and serves as a liaison between patients and their care providers (physicians, infusion center, etc.).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (preferred) or equivalent experience in social services, health education, psychology, patient navigation, or counseling.
  • 3 years of healthcare experience, with reimbursement experience preferred, and strong problem solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

  • Act as the single point of contact for the patient, prescriber, and other healthcare professionals, including infusion center support staff.
  • Coordinate both externally and internally to ensure the best possible outcome for the patient.
  • Maintain a current understanding of MS marketplace dynamics and regional trends, utilizing local expertise to identify barriers and improvements to the program.
  • Establish and maintain positive working relationships with patients and key customers, including physicians, office staff, practice managers, nurses, and infusion center personnel.
  • Deliver quarterly insights of metrics and measures, support strategic planning, and proactively offer solutions for improvement, with business travel required to support these needs.
