Requirements

  • High school diploma or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge, skills and abilities can be acquired.
  • Six (6) months of experience with frontline customer service and guest relations duties and skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in Healthcare is preferred.
  • Experience in IDX and Revenue Cycle strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist, work, and monitor referral management queue utilizing complex scheduling rules.
  • Verify, coordinate, and schedule patient referrals as well as work hold bills in IDX and work queues in Revenue Cycle.
  • Effectively utilize all appropriate applications of the IDX and Revenue Cycle computer systems.
  • Maintain working knowledge of all office equipment, fax, copiers, phones, etc.
  • Participate in quality improvement efforts.
  • Use excellent guest relations skills in all interactions with patients, visitors, and staff.
  • Work self pay encounters to determine if insurance exists by using electronic eligibility, websites, or other means.
  • May complete unit/department specific duties as outlined in department documents.
