About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and patient‑focused Dental Patient Registration & Scheduling Specialist to support our dental services operation. This role is responsible for managing the patient registration process, coordinating appointments, verifying dental codes, and ensuring accurate payment collection. The ideal candidate will serve as a key liaison between dental students, patients, and providers while delivering excellent customer service in a fast‑paced healthcare environment.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in a healthcare setting or related field
  • Minimum of two (2) years of customer service experience
  • Knowledge of third‑party reimbursement and insurance processes
  • Ability to accurately interpret dental and billing information
  • Strong computer skills, including word processing and email software
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Strong organizational, mathematical, and attention‑to‑detail skills
  • Ability to use a 10‑key calculator and credit card processing equipment
  • Ability to read and interpret policies, procedures, and technical materials
  • Demonstrated initiative, flexibility, and problem‑solving abilities
  • Ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative team environment
  • Patient scheduling and appointment coordination
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and basic computer applications
  • Strong data entry and documentation skills

Nice To Haves

  • Dental experience strongly preferred

Responsibilities

  • Complete the patient registration process for dental services, including collecting and verifying demographic and insurance information.
  • Determine appropriate fees, process payments, and ensure accurate financial documentation.
  • Accept and process referrals in a timely and professional manner.
  • Schedule, confirm, and manage patient appointments while maintaining efficient clinic flow.
  • Verify dental procedure codes and ensure accuracy prior to appointments and billing.
  • Serve as a liaison between dental students and patients to support clear communication and positive patient experiences.
  • Confirm appointments and follow up as needed to reduce no‑shows.
  • Accurately register and interview patients to ensure complete and compliant records.
  • Prepare daily bank deposits and operate credit card and payment processing systems.
