About The Position

Provides continuous observation and surveillance for assigned patients. Under supervision the Video Monitoring Technician (VMT) is responsible to ensure the first line of action is to verbally redirect the patient from engaging in at risk behaviors, summoning the assigned RN if the patient requires assistance. We are hiring for multiple openings of Patient Sitter - Telesitters positions in the Patient Services Department at Providence Regional Building in Anchorage, Alaska! Currently available schedules: Full Time, 0.9 FTE, Day shift, 36 hours per week.

Requirements

  • Coursework/Training: Completion of Medical Terminology course or Successful completion of hospital medical terminology test within 90 days of hire.
  • Upon hire: National Provider BLS - American Heart Association
  • 6 months experience providing direct patient care in a clinical setting.

Nice To Haves

  • Coursework/Training: Verification of completion of basic EKG cardiac rhythm recognition course within six (6) months of hire.
  • Coursework/Training: Verification of advanced cardiac rhythm recognition course.
