About The Position

St. Mary Medical Center, a member of Trinity Health Mid Atlantic, is seeking a full-time Patient Transporter to join our Team. Position Purpose To transport patients to locations throughout St. Mary Medical Center As a Transporter you will: Transports patients on stretchers, beds and wheelchairs from one area of the hospital to designated area within the hospital campus, maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment for the patient being transported. Cooperatively assists in lifting patients in and out of bed as requested, exercising proper lifting techniques. Promptly reports any concerns of patients and/or happenings during transport to appropriate personnel. Cleans wheelchairs and ensures each area has an adequate number. Observes for and reports safety hazards and broken vehicles to the Lead Transporter for immediate repair.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalency (required)
• CPR Certification - issued by AHA.
• Fingerprint & Child Abuse History Clearance (completed during onboarding if offered a position)
