The Patriot Program Quality Lead (PQL) in Land and Air Defense Systems (LADS), will support Patriot Product Line (PPL) Quality team on the Patriot BMC4I at our Andover, MA location. Responsibilities include but are not limited to; interfacing with the Factory to aid Production issue resolution, Continuous improvement, and Cost Savings initiatives. This Individual should have a quality mindset, proficient communication skills and ability to lead teams and collaborate across multiple functions to support the Patriot BMC4I IPT. You will proactively engage with the product line and work in partnership with Product Leadership, Engineering, Global Supply Chain, Execution, Operations, Deployed Teams and the Quality team. Your will ensure the effective implementation of Quality and Mission Assurance requirements of the programs, and occasionally interface with U.S. Government Customers, Foreign Customers, and Suppliers. You will drive proactive and reactive engagements across our factories and suppliers for the Global Patriot portfolio, implement quality processes to reduce overall product lifecycle cost and risk. This is an on-site position in Andover, MA.

Requirements

  • Typically requires a Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) and a minimum of 2 years of engineering and quality experience.
  • Working experience with ISO 9001 and/or AS9100 Quality Management Systems.
  • Working experience in providing technical program assistance for manufacturing/ production and/or design processes.
  • Experience working in a manufacturing environment (Operations quality, Manufacturing engineering)
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance.
  • U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with APQP
  • Six Sigma, Lean, CORE, or American Society for Quality (ASQ) Certification.
  • Active U.S. security clearance.
  • Experience in other functional area such as engineering, supply chain, or operations.
  • Experienced in verbal and written communications and networking skills to work with upper management and customers.
  • Hands-on experience in solving both business and technical problems.
  • Experienced team player who achieves goals and strives for continuous improvement.

Responsibilities

  • Interface with the program quality teams, programs, customers, and Integrated Product Teams (IPTs), assisting technical quality and financial performance, and compliance with Raytheon procedures and contractual requirements.
  • Closely interface with external and internal customers and key partners to establish effective relationships.
  • Must have the ability to manage and impact across multiple levels of stakeholders, as it is vital to the success of this role.
  • Quality of delivered products and services to our customers, stakeholders of quality risks, uncertainties and opportunities, key team members in resolution of customer expectations and relationships related to Mission Assurance and Quality.
  • Developing and implementing strategic and tactical Mission Assurance plans that will closely affect the programs’ implementation and influence.
  • Improving processes or systems using significant conceptualization, reasoning, and interpretation skills.
  • Monitor / lead root cause corrective action (RCCA) and FRACAS activities for systemic issues and to ensure extensive RCCA.
  • Identify when such activities are warranted.
  • Generation of new Cost of Quality (CoPQ) projects to reduce costs on the program.
  • Implement APQP as applicable.
