A Patrol Worker may be called upon at any time to respond to emergency situations such as snowstorms, windstorms, flooding, traffic accidents, fires, and must have the ability to: perform moderate to heavy manual labor for extended periods under variable weather conditions; operate a variety of trucks and equipment necessary for the maintenance and repair of roads and rights-of-way; and, establish and maintain effective working and public relations with co-workers, the public, vendors and outside agencies.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver’s License.
  • Valid Wisconsin Class A Commercial Driver's License with air brake endorsement within six (6) months of hire. Class A CDL highly preferred upon hire.

  • Work experience in maintenance and repair of roads and the operation of a variety of trucks and equipment is desirable.
