About The Position

Essential Job Functions: Operate paving machines/skid steers Experience as a milling ground operator Operate various types of shovels, including hand shovels and mechanical shovels, to perform digging, scooping, and material handling tasks Perform tasks such as leveling ground, creating trenches, or clearing debris as required by project specifications Use rakes to level, spread, and smooth materials such as gravel Assist in creating and maintaining paving features Maintain a clean and organized work area, including disposing of waste materials and ensuring tools and equipment are properly stored Following instructions from supervisors and implementing construction plans Maintain a high level of quality work at all times Maintain good relationships with Technicians, Foreman, Superintendents, Inspectors, Developers, and other co-workers at all times Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work tasks Perform other duties as assigned Represent and promote Grayson Carter and Son in a professional and honest manner

Requirements

Ability to communicate and convey information effectively
Must be physically able to stand, walk, sit, crouch, kneel, climb, and periodically lift 75 pounds
Knowledge of OSHA Standards
Dependable transportation
Wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) on all job sites as required
Work weekends and overtime as needed
Committed to attending work each day
Able to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Nice To Haves

Ability to obtain Arsenal and FBI Badge preferred, but not required
