About The Position

The Paws Graders in the Giblet Room department is responsible for grading paws on the line and making sure product meets quality expectations.

Requirements

  • Less than high school education; or up to one-month related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Six months of work history in the last 12 months required.
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals.
  • Understanding personal computer applications and tools.
  • Must have a valid driver’s License.
  • Understanding of the Company’s philosophy and Values.
  • Maintains clean and orderly conditions in his work area. Encourages proper housekeeping habits among others.
  • Practices the habit of good personal grooming and cleanliness. Wear’s clothing in keeping with his position and which will project a desirable company image.
  • Promotes good company/employee relations. Maintains a high level of employee morale by use of good human relations techniques in his associations with fellow employees.
  • Practices good communications habits. Keeps supervisor informed of trends and problems.
  • Reviews continually the factors affecting administrative and operating costs of his function. Takes or recommends action necessary to keep costs consistent with departmental and company objectives. Strives to eliminate or minimize damage and waste.
  • Maintains necessary security in matters of a confidential nature. Does not release information concerning company business without proper authorization.
  • Makes method improvements that will enhance the effectiveness of his function.
  • Coordinates his activities with other individuals, departments, and organizations. Cooperates fully with others in the attainment of company-wide objectives.
  • Maintains the necessary records of activities in his function.
  • Makes use of all available tools and materials for self-improvement.
  • Carries out these duties and responsibilities in conformance with company policies, procedures, directives, and other information available for his guidance in addition to verbal instructions from his immediate supervisor.

Responsibilities

  • Employee must ensure product meets quality.
  • Ensures all Shanks are removed.
  • Ensure paws has no missing digits.
  • Make sure paws has no mutilations.
  • Team Member must make sure there’s no blood on the paws.
  • Ensure there is no foreign material at all on all product.
