About The Position

Responsible for full cycle weekly payroll for company drivers and settlements for independent contractors. Will communicate daily with drivers and independent contractors requiring utmost confidentiality. Will work closely with other internal departments such as Billing, Safety, and Operations. Will also work with outside contacts such as state officials, outside vendors and state agencies regarding payroll situations.

Requirements

High School Diploma or equivalent; required
6+ months of relevant experience.
AS400 experience; a plus
Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and Windows.
Ability to learn and use proprietary software.
Honesty, integrity, and confidentiality.
Strong communication skills, written and verbal.
Strong ability to multitask.

Responsibilities

Provide information to drivers, independent contractors, and managers on payroll matters.
Complete and process pay information for driver’s unemployment or wage garnishments.
Run audits, payroll reports and final pay settlements.
Instruct newly hired drivers the procedures and requirements for WEL Companies payroll and independent contractor settlements.
Build and maintain owner PDF files.
Process weekly settlements.
Transfer direct deposit for company pay and independent contractor settlements.
Advance audits - verify that advances are deducted.
Assist unloading services that have Comdata check issues.
Enter and maintain the drivers’ vacation pay database and referral bonus.
Enter the driver trainee and trainer pay.
Enter driver charge backs and manual pays: Orientation, layover, and other misc. revenue.
Verify and enter Day rate driver’s pay.
Communicate daily with drivers and internal departments.
Other duties as assigned.
