About The Position

Integration Management for internal and external payloads for the International Space Station Job Summary · Initialize and maintain on a monthly basis the Payload Integration Manager (PIM) schedules and stop light status charts for payload rack facilities, EXPRESS sub\-rack payloads, attached payloads, Aisle Deployed, EXPRESS Logistics Carrier (ELC) payloads, Japanese Experiment Module (JEM) and Columbus Exposed Facilities (EF) payloads, and IP payloads utilizing NASA resources per the equivalent traffic model as defined on the NASA baselined Integrated Payload List (IPL). · Develop unique Payload Integration Agreement (PIA) letters for payloads which a PIM is assigned. · Maintain the Standard PIA for ISS Payloads (SSP 57061) · Assist payload developers in processing exceptions associated with program and integration requirements. · Assist payload developers in providing payload data sets. · Participates in anomaly resolution when on\-orbit anomalies occur during real\-time ops. · Assist the payload developer by participating in major payload reviews as needed: Preliminary and Critical Design Reviews (PDR/CDR), Ground Operations Reviews, Flight and Ground Safety Reviews, and System Acceptance Reviews (SAR). · Participate in major ISS program reviews as needed: internal NASA OZ CoFR reviews, Hardware Verification Review (HVR), and Bench Packing Reviews. · Report open items/risks at various program reviews but does not represent payload developer. · Provide technical expertise to Research Integration Office boards and panels, ISS boards and panels, and working groups · Manages cold stowage assets for the ISS. · Performs assessments of payload cold stowage requirements, develops cold stowage traffic models, and coordinates across the ISS program to ensure capability exists for ascent, on\-orbit, and descent phases. · Integrates payload cold stowage requirements through the Cold Stowage Management Team (CSMT). · Maintains configuration management of cold stowage forms submitted by payload developers. The position requires a professionally mature candidate with strong organizational and problem solving skills. Must be capable of setting and meeting deadlines and interfacing with a variety of disciplines.

Requirements

  • Qualified candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree
  • Minimum of 5 years experience performing Payload Integration, preferably for the International Space Station.
  • Qualified candidates must demonstrate excellent oral and written communications skills, good leadership and teamwork characteristics.
  • Must be a US Citizen
  • Must meet eligibility requirements to receive and maintain a Boeing badge and NASA Badge
  • Reside in a HUBZone or willing to relocate to a HUBZone
  • ONLY applicants whose home address lies in a qualified HUBZone or be willing to relocate to a HUBZone will be considered for this position.
  • This position is exempt, maintaining HUBZone residency in a qualified census tract is a requirement of this position.
