The Accountant – Payroll is responsible for end-to-end payroll processing and the accurate allocation of payroll-related costs to construction projects, cost codes, and departments. This role ensures payroll, labor burden, and workers’ compensation costs are properly recorded in the general ledger, job cost reports, and work-in-progress (WIP) schedules, and that all labor-related costs are accurately reflected in the company’s financial statements in accordance with GAAP. This position requires hands-on construction payroll experience, strong knowledge of job costing, and a deep understanding of how payroll, labor burden, and workers’ compensation directly impact project profitability and financial reporting.
