Primarily responsible for independently performing complex payroll processing and administration activities for union and non-union employees across multiple jurisdictions. Role supports accurate, timely, and compliant payroll operations, applies working knowledge of wage and hour laws and collective bargaining agreements (CBAs), and assists with payroll audits, reconciliations, and system maintenance. Serves as an experienced individual contributor, resolving routine to moderately complex payroll issues, supporting internal controls, and escalating high-risk and complex matters as appropriate. Requires at least three (3) years of progressive payroll and HR data analysis experience supporting HR operations, including union and new business compliance in multi‑state, multi‑jurisdiction U.S. and global environments; a bachelor’s degree and professional payroll certification (CPP or FPC) are preferred. Must have comprehensive experience with full‑cycle, high‑volume payroll processing for hourly, salaried, and union employees across the employment lifecycle, including onboarding, terminations, transfers, promotions, and new business or location set‑ups. Strong technical aptitude is required in HRIS platforms. Role also requires sound judgment and working knowledge of wage and hour laws and collective bargaining agreements, with the ability to apply internal controls, SOPs, and compliance standards to ensure accurate, audit‑ready payroll outcomes.
