Requirements

  • 5+ years of payroll and benefits administration experience
  • Hands-on experience with ADP payroll systems required
  • Strong Excel skills (formulas, pivot tables, reporting)
  • Solid understanding of payroll tax laws and compliance requirements
  • Working knowledge of FMLA, COBRA, ACA, and related regulations
  • Strong communication skills and ability to explain payroll and benefits clearly to employees
  • High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple deadlines

Nice To Haves

  • Experience supporting a multi-state, non-exempt workforce strongly preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Accounting, Business, or related field preferred. CPP, SHRM-CP, or PHR certifications are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Process bi-weekly and off-cycle payroll accurately and on time for all employees
  • Review and validate timekeeping records across plant and office locations
  • Maintain payroll data in ADP, including new hires, pay changes, tax updates, deductions, and 401(k) elections
  • Generate and audit payroll and benefits reports
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee payroll and benefits questions
  • Administer benefits enrollments, life event changes, COBRA notifications, and leave programs (FMLA, disability, parental leave)
  • Partner with HR, Finance, and site leaders to resolve discrepancies and maintain data integrity
  • Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local payroll and benefits regulations
  • Maintain confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions

  • This is a full-time salaried position with a base salary range of $60,000 – $70,000, depending on experience and qualifications.
  • This role is also eligible for an annual performance bonus opportunity of up to 5%.
