About The Position

Greiner Industries is seeking a skilled Payroll Clerk who will provide comprehensive payroll and administrative support by accurately processing employee time and pay data, maintaining payroll records, ensuring compliance with applicable laws and policies, and serving as a reliable resource for payroll-related inquiries.

Requirements

  • Accounting Software – Sage ERP100 / ADP Workforce Now
  • Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software
  • Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) & OneDrive
  • High level of discretion handling confidential information.
  • Service oriented with a willingness to help people with a positive, cooperative demeanor.
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Clear and professional written and verbal communication.
  • Ability to prioritize in a deadline-driven environment.

  • 2+ years of Payroll experience.
  • Negative result on pre-employment and all active employment drug screens when required.
  • Ability to sit, stand, and perform computer-based tasks for extended periods.
  • Ability to retrieve and file documents from storage areas as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Verify attendance, hours worked, and pay adjustments, and post information onto designated records.
  • Compute wages and deductions and enter data into computers.
  • Process paperwork for new employees and enter employee information into the payroll system.
  • Review time sheets, work charts, wage computation, and other information to detect and reconcile payroll discrepancies.
  • Distribute and collect timecards for each pay period.
  • Prepare and process payroll information.
  • Prepare purchase orders and expense reports.
  • Maintain inventory (office supplies)
  • Record employee information, such as transfers, and resignations, to maintain and update payroll records.
  • Keep track of leave time, such as vacation, personal, and sick leave, for employees.
  • Compile employee time, production, and payroll data from time sheets and other records.
  • Keep informed about changes in tax and deduction laws that apply to the payroll process.
  • Complete time sheets showing employees' arrival and departure times.
  • Provide information to employees and managers on payroll matters
  • Train employees on organizations' timekeeping systems.
  • Operate computers programmed with accounting software to record, store, and analyze information.
  • Comply with federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations.
  • Receive and record checks, and vouchers.
  • Reconcile or note and report discrepancies found in records.
  • Perform general office duties, such as filing, answering telephones, and handling routine correspondence.
  • Debit, credit, and total accounts on computer spreadsheets and databases, using specialized accounting software.
  • Match order forms with invoices and record the necessary information.
  • Regular and timely attendance.
  • Adhere to federal, state and local laws.
  • Perform work safely, maintain a clean and organized work area, comply with and follow company policies and procedures.
  • Communicate with co-workers, management, customers, vendors and others in a courteous, respectful and professional manner.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.
