About The Position

Parkwest Bicycle Casino is seeking a Payroll Clerk. The ideal candidate assist the Payroll team in the accurate and timely collection of payroll records for timely payroll processing.

Requirements

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong understanding of payroll principles and practices.
  • Familiarity with payroll/timekeeping software (e.g. ADP, Kronos, Paycom, Workday).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel/Word).
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills with strong attention to detail.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to be accurate and have an attention to detail
  • Well organized
  • Ability to work cooperatively with staff
  • Ability to exercise a high degree of professionalism
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business administration, or a related field (preferred but not always required). A minimum of high school or GED diploma required.
  • 1-2 years of experience in payroll, accounting, finance, or a related field. Experience with data entry, bookkeeping, or clerical work is beneficial. Familiarity with payroll software (e.g., ADP, Paycom, QuickBooks, Workday) is a plus.
  • Must be able to work at a desk, sitting for extended periods of time.
  • Frequent use of a computer, keyboard, mouse and office equipment.
  • Typing, data entry and handling paperwork regularly. walk, stand, and bend at neck for 6 or more hours a day.
  • Position will require repetitive use of hands.
  • Must be able to lift and carry office supplies and/or up to 15lbs; Files, Paper reams, File in boxes, Office equipment etc.
  • Must be able to perform all essential duties with or without accommodation.

Responsibilities

  • Assisting with collecting, verifying, and entering employee work hours, wages, and deductions into the payroll system.
  • Compiles payroll data to maintain payroll records.
  • Enter and edit Kronos adjustments int the Timekeeping System.
  • Retrieve all Kronos adjustment forms/reports.
  • Ensure that all adjustment forms/reports are properly completed and have the appropriate signatures.
  • Calculate and enter vacation hours taken during the pay period.
  • Retrieve and enter schedule changes.
  • On a daily, weekly, and bi-weekly basis, verify data in the timekeeping system.
  • Organizes data by department and email to the appropriate administration team for processing.
  • Addressing basic payroll-related inquiries from employees and escalating complex issues as needed.
  • Other job related duties as assigned by the manager.
