Working alongside the amazing team at The Quail, we are seeking a Payroll/HR Clerk to support our Accounting and HR departments. In this position, you will: Work for a highly prestigious hotel located in sunny Carmel Valley, California. Learn and grow within a strong hospitality operation. Requirements

  • Experience in payroll administration or similar role
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, and/or relevant field
  • Good working knowledge of accounting practices and tax laws
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Payroll systems and database software
  • Strong attention to detail and strong communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Update payroll information in conjunction with HR for promotions, transfers, terminations and new hires
  • Process and commit bi-weekly payroll
  • Prepare statements reflecting earnings, taxes and deductions
  • Process payroll reports for management and auditing purposes; biweekly, monthly and annual basis
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, relevant industry regulations, tax and deductions laws
  • Answer questions; resolving issues regarding payroll
  • Provide administrative support to the HR department by filing employee forms and documents into appropriate employee files
