About The Position

Reworld is looking for a Payroll Practitioner to process and maintain the payroll. In this role you will be processing multistate payroll processing for over 300 employees biweekly & weekly. Payroll practitioner will be adjusting employee timecards. Ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations. Work Location: Florham Park, NJ Work schedule: 3 days in office 2 days from home (hybrid)

Requirements

  • Must have a minimum of 3 years as a Payroll Practitioner with experience in U.S. payroll.
  • Strong knowledge of payroll & tax regulations/processes.
  • Experience with Workday or equivalent HRIS/Payroll system.
  • Must be able to multi-task and have superior organizational and analytical skills.
  • Attention to detail and accuracy a must.
  • PC Proficiency including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience with Ceridian Time and Attendance or similar time management system.
  • Experience with the administration of wage attachments and the requirements of each type.

Nice To Haves

  • Fundamentals Payroll Certification (FPC) or Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) designation preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

  • Accurate and timely domestic multi state payroll processing for over 300 employees bi-weekly and weekly.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal tax regulations and company policies.
  • Responsible for ensuring all timecards are compiled and approved in order to process payroll timely.
  • Research, troubleshoot and respond to a wide range of inquiries related to payroll and time & attendance.
  • Make adjustments to employee timecards as needed and validate on the payroll trial.
  • Create, monitor, and troubleshoot employee rotations and pay policy set up.
  • Track and maintain employee accruals annually and resolve any discrepancies immediately.
  • Partner with Benefits Team on any issues with “leave” pay to ensure accuracy.
  • Responsible for processing all staffing transactions (new hires, terms, etc.) into the Workday system with proper backup documentation needed for processing payroll.
  • Provide customer service to all levels of employees in both corporate and facility locations.
  • Set up, maintain, and troubleshoot garnishments for employees and act as a point of contact for agencies and bureaus.
  • Make requests for stop payments, process off cycle payments and reimbursements as needed.
  • Maintain and update employee records.
  • Comply at all times and in all situations with the Sarbanes Oxley policy of Covanta.
  • Provide support to the Payroll team members and Human Resources Dept.
  • Assist with projects as needed
