Position Overview: The Payroll Specialist is responsible for ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely payroll processing across the U.S., Canada, and Europe. The Payroll Specialist works closely with other internal stakeholders to ensure payroll data integrity, accurate reporting, and continuous process improvement within the global payroll function. The Payroll Specialist will report to the HR Operations Lead and be hybrid out of our Framingham, MA office.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration or similar field.
  • Minimum 3 years of payroll experience (U.S. payroll required).
  • An understanding of payroll calculations, taxation, and statutory requirements.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and reporting skills.

Nice To Haves

  • Canada or Europe experience strongly preferred.
  • Experience using ADP Workforce Now; ADP Celegro experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process end-to-end payroll for employees in the U.S., Canada, and Europe.
  • Process certified payroll, ensuring compliance with prevailing wage and reporting requirements.
  • Validate and reconcile payroll data including new hires, terminations, transfers, compensation changes, and adjustments.
  • Review payroll outputs for accuracy and resolve discrepancies in a timely manner.
  • Support payroll tax compliance activities, ensuring adherence to federal, state/provincial, and local regulations.
  • Assist with statutory reporting requirements across supported jurisdictions.
  • Assist with internal and external payroll audits by preparing required documentation and reconciliations.
  • Review and enter all garnishments into ADP.
  • Process manual checks as requested by HR or Accounting.
  • Assist with generating reports and basic analytics ensuring data accuracy and timely delivery.
  • Support year-end payroll activities, including W-2s, T4s, and other statutory year-end documents.
  • Support integration efforts between payroll and other HR systems as needed.
  • Participate in testing and validating system updates or new functionality within platforms.
  • Address employee payroll inquiries with professionalism, accuracy, and a strong customer-service mindset.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
  • Perform other duties and special projects as requested.
