About The Position

Mitchell Companies is seeking an experienced Payroll Specialist to manage multi-state payroll in a high-volume, multi-location environment. This role requires strong attention to detail, solid compliance knowledge, and hands-on experience with ADP. This position plays a critical role in ensuring payroll is processed accurately, timely, and in compliance with federal and state regulations. This is a deadline-driven role with minimal room for error.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of full-cycle payroll processing experience
  • Hands-on ADP experience (Workforce Now strongly preferred)
  • Multi-state payroll experience
  • Strong understanding of wage and hour regulations
  • High level of accuracy and accountability
  • Proficiency in Excel
  • Ability to manage confidential information appropriately

Nice To Haves

  • Experience in multi-location operations is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process weekly and/or biweekly payroll for hourly and salaried employees
  • Audit time and attendance records prior to payroll submission
  • Ensure accurate calculation of overtime, commissions, bonuses, and deductions
  • Manage garnishments, tax withholdings, and related compliance requirements
  • Maintain payroll records and employee data within ADP
  • Partner with HR and Finance to resolve payroll discrepancies
  • Support year-end processing including W-2 preparation
  • Respond to employee payroll inquiries professionally and promptly
