About The Position

Gloucester, Virginia We will not consider individuals looking for summer work at this time. 12 hour shifts and working every other weekend. Currently looking for someone who can work a mix of Days (7a-7p) and Mids (11a - 11p) Requirements: Basic Life Support (BLS) / CPR required. Required to have ONE of the following: (1) licensed or eligible by the State of Virginia as a C.N.A., or (2) EMT-B, or (3) have completed a Medical Assistant program/certification, or (4) currently enrolled in an accredited nursing program with 80 hours completed. Works under the supervision of Registered Nurse Nurse Manager/Director in personal care of the patients and their environment (including those needing special precautions) and performs specified functions in tasks where there is validated competency including: simple wound care (i.e. cleaning of abrasions/laceration) EKGs peripheral INT removal basic phlebotomy and extremity splinting. Emergency Department personnel will provide education and validate team member has met required competency to perform skills specific to job description. In addition this position must be able to demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patient served in assigned unit. The individual must demonstrate knowledge of the principles of growth and development over the life span and provide the care needed as described according to the departmental policy and procedure.
