About The Position

The Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) Associate plays a crucial role in ensuring the quality and safety of our pontoon boats before they reach our customers. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting comprehensive pre- and post- Repair inspections, adhering to established standards, and contributing to our commitment to delivering exceptional products with a focus on Quality, Service, and Innovation. Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in marine mechanics or a related field is a plus.
  • Proven experience in pre-delivery inspection, quality control, or a similar role within the marine industry.
  • Strong understanding of pontoon boat construction, systems, and components.
  • Detail-oriented with excellent observational and analytical skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Effective communication skills to convey inspection findings and collaborate with other departments.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and regulations in a manufacturing setting.
  • Willingness to learn and adapt to new processes and technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Pre- and Post- Repair Inspections: Conduct thorough inspections of pontoon boats before and after warranty repairs to ensure they meet quality and safety standards. Identify and document any defects, damages, or deviations from specifications.
  • Quality Control: Work closely with the production and assembly teams to address and rectify any issues identified during inspections. Implement quality control measures to enhance the overall product quality.
  • Documentation: Complete detailed inspection reports, documenting findings and recommended actions. Maintain accurate records of inspection results and communicate them to relevant departments.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate with other departments, such as production, engineering, and customer service, to address and resolve issues identified during inspections. Provide feedback to improve the manufacturing and assembly processes.
  • Process Improvement: Participate in continuous improvement initiatives, suggesting and implementing enhancements to the pre-delivery inspection process. Identify opportunities to streamline workflows and improve overall efficiency.
  • Safety Compliance: Ensure that all safety protocols and procedures are followed during the inspection process. Report any safety concerns or incidents to the appropriate personnel.
  • Training and Development: Stay informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices related to pontoon boat manufacturing and inspection. Participate in training programs to enhance skills and knowledge.
